Re: “City council votes to decrease funding to food bank” Dec. 24 Dear editor, Like many Airdrie residents I was distressed to see that the FCSS funding for the Airdrie Food Bank had been cut by City council.

Re: “Councillor wants more info on cheques” Dec. 14 Dear editor, On Dec. 7, Councillor Margaret Bahcheli proposed that councillors be given more details on expenditures before approving third-party cheques.

Dear editor, Jim and I have worked very hard over the last five years fulfilling a dream that our son Stephen had to help children in need. We had no idea what “I need to help them Mommy!” meant.

Re: “Uncomfortable questions regarding Bill 50,” Airdrie-Chestermere Report, Dec. 17. Dear editor, The majority of the comments made by MLA Rob Anderson about the history of this project are incorrect.

Dear editor, Several decades ago, there was a song for children recorded with the opening line: “There is joy in the family the day that a baby arrives.” This is an incredibly happy song, which I still enjoy and sing in my mind.
