Unimpressed with Reeve Boehlke's assessment

RE: “MA decides against inspection of RVC,” article, Feb. 4

Dear Editor,

Reeve Greg Boehlke displayed an "amazing" perspective when he reported that the Minster of Municipal Affairs did not proceed with a municipal inspection of Rocky View County (RVC) because it was brought forward by “three disgruntled councillors and a few of their followers.”

Thousands of residents of RVC signed a petition indicating their disquiet with the County’s sanctioning of three councillors, and thousands more are frustrated that they are not fully represented in County governance. The people who signed that petition are not “followers;” we are taxpayers who believe we are entitled to be represented at council by fully-functioning councillors.

We look for good governance from RVC council, and we’re sure not getting it now.
