Dear Editor, On Nov. 11, my husband and I attended the Remembrance Day service at the Southern Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary. Upon returning home to Airdrie, we stopped at a local restaurant for a quick lunch, where we exchanged brief pleasantries with a man and woman in the next booth as my husband, a retired 33-year veteran of the RCMP,  was still wearing his veteran's scarlet blazer. After the couple left the restaurant, our server came to our table with a big smile and told us the gentleman had paid our tab and said to thank my husband for his service. We were very touched by this gesture but, unfortunately, don't know who the couple was. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their kindness, and hopefully they will recognize themselves in my letter. Thank you very much. Ret'd S/Sgt. Ron and June Wesner Airdrie
