Dear Editor, Our family would like to thank everyone who came out to support our awesome first responders at airdrieFEST, Sept. 8. As a mom, I was so proud to see so many young children interacting with our RCMP, Airdrie Fire Department, EMS and Airdrie Municipal Enforcement, and so many children who saw the thank you cards they made for them were on display. Thank you for bringing Cruise's idea to thank our awesome Airdrie first responders to fruition. A special thank you to the City of Airdrie, Mayor Peter Brown, City council and staff, Pauline Clark, MP Blake Richards, airdrieFEST, Melanie Taylor and all the volunteers and students who made the thank you cards. A huge thank you to all of our awesome first responders – RCMP, Airdrie Fire Department, EMS and Airdrie Municipal Enforcement. We are hoping this brings the community together with the first responders, and hope this can turn into an annual event.
