The Irricana & District Municipal Library is accepting donations of Christmas cards to be used by staff and patrons for craft activities in the coming year.

“As many of us receive a wealth of cards during the holiday season, we felt that we needed to give them a second purpose at the library,” said Elysse Reicheneder, library manager. “We love the idea of recycling and reusing the Christmas Cards. We hope that we can have a small but positive impact on our environment by providing a place for people to recycle their cards.”

Staff asks that the cards be dropped off during regular hours. The Irricana library is open Mondays from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. To learn more about library programs and services, call 403-395-4818.
