Feb 22 - Glen Smith

Congratulations to our winner of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts 50/50 Raffle for Monday, February 22, 2021

WINNER: Glen Smith - $6,950

“I’ve been playing every day since it started. And I’ll keep playing.”

Like many fans, Glen Smith has been waiting a long time to watch live curling again. While enjoying some impressive curling action during the 2021 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Glen has also been faithfully buying his 50/50 tickets.

“I’ve been playing every day since it started. And I’ll keep on playing,” said Glen.

Those tickets paid off big time when he won his share of yesterday’s $13,900 jackpot draw.

A curler since his teens, Glen is a long-time member of the Sundre Curling Club and curls in the open league. As a league representative, he is well aware of the challenges and uncertainty faced by curling centers during these unprecedented times. But, Curling Alberta’s 50/50 Raffle, presented by Boston Pizza, is generating a sense of hope. That is why people like Glen continue to purchase tickets. Not only to create a lasting legacy for our sport, but to keep the grassroots curling spirit alive and well in communities across Alberta.

While plans to use some of his winnings to take his wife somewhere special are in the preliminary stages, Glen is still pondering what to do with the remainder of his prize money. We hope you enjoy making some plans with your wife and have fun watching live curling back on the big screen.

Every day is a new draw and a new chance to win BIG. 50/50 tickets are available each day of the 2021 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Tickets can be purchased from 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM MST and can be purchased here. (LL#570519)
