Crossfield is getting set for its annual fall market on Oct. 1.

For nearly 50 years the Crossfield Fall Market has drawn in visitors from all across central Alberta, according to market manager Cheryl Shea. And with over 100 vendors selling their wares this Saturday, Shea expects that tradition to continue.

“It's fabulous,” she said. “It brings a lot of out-of-town people into town. It’s a market (people) shouldn’t miss.”

Shea says, as always, there will be a little bit of everything at this year’s market and something for everyone.

“What people will see at the market will be great for Thanksgiving,” she states. “The Britestone colony will be be there with vegetables. There are bakers and fall home décor (sellers). There are spirits and craft beer. There are handcrafted signs. Stuffed potatoes … You name it, we got it. Everything is in season.”

The Crossfield Fall Market opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Crossfield and District Community Centre located at 900 Mountain Avenue.
