The Thumbs Up Foundation, an Airdrie-based mental health advocacy group, will be hosting a luncheon alongside Mayor Peter Brown to signal the start of Resiliency Awareness Month on June 1 at 11:30 a.m. at the Town and Country Centre. 

Not only do participants get to have fun reading from a broad selection of recently published books, they also have a voice in deciding who wins.

The foundation’s nearest school, located in northeast Calgary, is attended not only by Calgary residents but also children from Airdrie, Langdon, Okotoks, and the surrounding areas.
