An Airdrie resident who has overcome physical barriers to become an accomplished athlete and advocate for those living with disabilities – namely cerebral palsy - has won a Premier Council’s Award for her public awareness and advocacy efforts.

The Airdrie Rotary Club put on its 16th annual Dragon’s Den event on Giving Tuesday – the Tuesday following the American Thanksgiving – on Nov. 30, with the goal of providing local groups a helping hand with their projects or initiatives.
