You can Google a topic and get thousands of hits, but a librarian will give you the right answer to your question. That’s because libraries are indeed places filled with ideas that lead to action, whether that’s further education or simply a desire to explore the world.

For the moment, the Airdrie Public Library (APL) facility is closed due to the pandemic, but that hasn’t stopped it from continuing to be a place for those who seek answers and knowledge.

Just check out our website’s eResource page and you’ll find ideas and answers ranging from auto repair manuals, to a cloud library of eBooks and eAudiobooks filled with popular fiction and nonfiction for all ages, to invaluable product information from Consumer Reports, to up-to-date info on grants, investment and government funding programs through Grant Connect, and much more.

Cruise through our website and you’ll find instructional videos on how to access study online help and exam preparation tools like Solaro, Niche Academy, Worldbook online, as well as our popular videos on how to use Tinkercad for 3D design projects.

Then there’s Book a Librarian, where you can receive one-on-one help from a real librarian for your information requests. Users of this resource can receive help with school projects, consumer and health education, genealogy and archives resources, market and business research, and learn how to better navigate library resources, including databases. Book a 30-minute session with a librarian and get the help you need to plan your project and identify appropriate, credible sources to answer your questions.

Now, while a librarian is eager to help, they won’t do the actual research or type or proof your work, nor can they offer any medical, financial, or legal advice.
