Volunteer Airdrie announced its August Volunteer of the Month is Hazel Klassen.
Klassen was nominated by North Rocky View Community Links and volunteers at Community Links, the Airdrie Food Bank and Luxstone Manor. She moved to Airdrie from Swift Current, Sask., in October 2018, and said volunteering is a great way to meet new people and to help make our community a great place to live.
She received her award certificate from Volunteer Airdrie, along with gift certificates from Volunteer Airdrie and Save-On Foods.
