A motor vehicle collision in Reunion on Tuesday evening resulted in damage to three vehicles after a pick-up truck collided with a vehicle parked in a residential driveway, a press release from the City of Airdrie stated.

After the truck veered off the roadway and into a residential driveway, the City stated the struck vehicle was pushed forward into the front corner of an attached garage. According to the City's release, the truck then careened and crashed through the closed garage overhead door before striking and badly damaging another vehicle which was parked inside.

"The driver of the truck had freed himself from the vehicle prior to arrival of fire crews and was assessed by AHS paramedics on scene," it stated. "There were no injuries to report."

The Airdrie Fire Department inspected damage to the garage to ensure it remained structurally sound. After the area was deemed safe, vehicles were removed from the scene.

RCMP officers were also on scene conducting an investigation, according to the City.
