Dates announced for third Airdrie Children's Festival

Dates have been released for the 2020 Airdrie Children’s Festival.

The Airdrie Children’s Festival Society (ACFS) will host another two-day event in 2020, with the festival being held May 30 and 31.

“For 2020, we will be growing from the successes of our first two years,” said ACFS board member Tara Levick, in a statement. “Watch for some changes and exciting new things coming for 2020.”

The Airdrie Children’s Festival was created to enrich the lives of children and celebrate cultural difference. Each aspect of the festival has a component to inspire children while having fun at the same time.

The free festival will take place at Nose Creek Park and will feature a children’s village play area, an entertainment stage with live performances, inspiration stations to learn something new and workshops to expand knowledge.

“We are also excited to announce the date for Comedy at the Bert,” Levick’s statement read. “On March 28, we are thrilled to bring Tim Nutt and Charles Haycock to Airdrie to get us laughing and help us raise funds for our 2020 festival.”

Tickets will go on sale this fall. This festival would not be possible without the generous sponsorship support from the local business community and residents, according to the release.
