Tomorrow's Santa Claus Parade in Airdrie will bring a road closure that motorists should be wary of on Dec. 3.
The City of Airdrie issued a news release today that a stretch of Main Street will be closed to traffic for approximately 90 minutes tomorrow afternoon. The closure will begin at Veterans' Boulevard and end at Ridgegate Way, and will last from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Detours for northbound and southbound vehicles will be available along Tower Lane Drive (east of Main Street, behind the Towerlane Shopping Centre) and First Street NW.

The Alberta Health Services's Airdrie Urgent Care Centre at 604 Main St. SE will remain open during this time, according to the City's release. Road closure barricades will be manned by emergency response personnel to escort individuals to Airdrie’s Urgent Care Centre.
