Local artistic talent was celebrated at the Airdrie Regional ARTS Society’s Spring Art Show April 27 and 28 at Genesis Place Recreation Centre.
About 30 predominantly-Airdrie artists showed their work in a variety of disciplines, from paintings to jewelry, along with and visual and performance art.
The show also marked the beginning of the society’s Random Acts of Kindness projects, where artists give away or leave artwork around Airdrie for residents to find and keep. Now in its third year project will, for the first time, continue past the end of summer and last throughout year.
