Two Airdrie RCMP officers recently received a pleasant surprise from some local teenagers.
A Sept. 22 press release from Airdrie RCMP stated the officers departed the detachment office on a call, and were surprised to see a group of teenagers in the parking lot. Upon asking what the teens were doing there, they said they were pleasantly surprised by the response.
"These thoughtful kids were placing Tim Hortons gift cards under the wipers of the police cars," the release stated. "They said that this was their way to say thank you to the officers who protect them."
Officers did not get the names of the youths but want them to know the generous act was much appreciated.
