Airdrie, Chestermere RCMP looking for perps in local pharmacy robberies

Airdrie RCMP are asking patrons at the Pharmasave who may have witnessed this most recent robbery to please come forward with any additional information.

Airdrie RCMP is currently investigating a series of robberies that look place at pharmacies in Airdrie and Chestermere on Tuesday, Dec. 20.

The first incident occurred at an Airdrie pharmacy on Dec. 20 at approximately 1:40 p.m. According to an RCMP press release, two male suspects entered the store wearing dark clothing and hoods, and demanded narcotics. Afterward, they fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

"The suspects fled in what is believed to be a white car bearing Alberta license plate CFM 3654," read the press release. "No one was injured during the incident."

RCMP stated it is suspected the vehicle was also involved in a Chestermere attempted robbery that occurred at 3 p.m. the same day at a local pharmacy on Merganser Drive.

The first suspect is described as slender, and stood approximately 6'4" tall, while the second male was approximately 5'9" and was wearing pink gloves. Both men had a dark complexion, according to a second RCMP press release.

"It was initially reported that the suspect vehicle has a broken driver's side tail light and there is damage to the bumper," read the press release. "The bumper which is damaged is the front bumper."

Later that same day, at approximately 6:20 p.m., Airdrie RCMP were dispatched to a robbery at a local Pharmasave. The suspects, with the same description as the suspects in the prior two robberies, demanded narcotics and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of goods. Again, no one was injured during the incident.

"The suspects fled in what is believed to be a grey older model sedan," read a third press release. "It is suspected that these subject may have been involved in other pharmacy robberies between Airdrie and Chestermere this same day."
