Prescription medication stolen during pharmacy robbery in Bragg Creek

Cochrane RCMP officers are investigating a recent robbery at a local pharmacy in Bragg Creek that involved two suspects.

Cochrane RCMP officers are investigating a recent robbery at a local pharmacy in Bragg Creek that involved two suspects.

The detachment stated in a press release that the incident occurred on Sept. 8 at about 12:50 p.m. Officers received a complaint about an armed robbery at the I.D.A. pharmacy in the hamlet.

"Two suspects entered the pharmacy and threatened the staff with bear spray," the release stated. "The individuals obtained an amount of prescription medication and left a short time later."

No employees were injured during the robbery, according to the release, and the RCMP has released surveillance footage of the suspects.

The first suspect is described as male, with a medium build, medium complexion and "possibly Indigenous." He wore a grey hoodie with a white logo, black sweat pants, latex gloves and a surgical mask.

The other suspect is also male, but with a darker complexion, according to RCMP. He stood approximately six feet tall and had a slim build. He wore a black baseball camp with a white logo, a red track jacket, black track pants, latex gloves and a surgical mask.

"Police are also looking for a suspect vehicle described as a 1990s light blue sedan," the release stated.
