Value Days at the 2022 Calgary Stampede - Enjoy 10 days of music, food and fun at Stampede, starting July 7. A SuperPass allows unlimited entry for the duration, $49 at Sobeys, IGA, until July 5. Value days include parade-to-park July 8, with free admission for all after the parade, between 11-1:30 p.m. TC Energy Community Day July 12 gives free seniors admission all day long. A Wop May Night at the Museum - July 9 - See the Alberta Aviation Museum come alive as Hangar 14 celebrates with bubbly, charcuterie, story-telling, entertainment and a premiere of the film, BLIND AMBITION: THE WOP MAY STORY.  Tickets for the elegant affair are $65, with timed entry. Grand North American Old Time Fiddle Championship -

Wild Rose Old Tyme Fiddlers host the 38th Annual Grand North American Old Time Fiddle Championship in the Dow Centennial Centre, Fort Saskatchewan on July 14 – 17, 2022.  Event includes a Junior Showcase and Open Mic on Friday evening; Saturday and Sunday fiddlers compete for over $16,000 in prize money.   Saturday evening July 16 starts with buffet supper and then Judge’s Showcase and dance to old time fiddle music.  For more information visit https://www.wildrosefiddlers.org/fiddle-contest-gna/ or phone 780-906-6862.   Tickets $10 and up Call 1-888-655-9090 or at Dow Centennial Centre.

K-Days - July 22-31 Calling all thrill-seekers, makers, gardeners, performers, thrift shoppers, dog lovers, music aficionados and mini donut connoisseurs! Sexy Laundry - Mayfield Dinner Theatre -July 5-Aug 7. After 25 years of marriage, time, kids, stress, and gravity have all taken their toll on Alice and Henry’s relationship. The Realistic Joneses - July 6-16 Walterdale Theatre 10322 - 83 Avenue NW. Bob and Jennifer Jones are middle-aged and dissatisfied with their situation. Their young, new neighbors, John and Pony Jones, pretend to have a light and bubbly life. When these two couples meet, interactions draw out topics none want to discuss, as they all discover they share more than just a last name. Through humour and true-to-life dialogue, the play demonstrates going it alone is not the way to handle life's hardships. Tickets are $20-$25 available at the door or through walterdaletheatre.com

Minus One Dance Club of Edmonton - Why not try an evening of social dance this summer? Minus One presents monthly dances with live music and refreshments for the 55-plus crowd (singles and couples and new dancers always welcome). Clue - Citadel Theatre, Edmonton. July 16 - Aug 7 Remember the board game? Here's the play. On a dark and stormy night, dinner party guests including Scarlet, Plum and Mustard become suspects when the host turns up dead. Whodunnit? Take in the madcap comedy that'll keep you guessing!
