The Godbout family lost their home in a fire Sept. 4.

A family that lost everything when their Sheep River home burned down over the Labour Day long weekend is asking the people in Okotoks to support them as they rebuild their lives.

A GoFundMe started Sept. 4 by Jayce Godbout said that he, his mom Rachel and brother Jaxon "watched their house burn to the ground" Sept. 4.

"We luckily got out unharmed but we lost everything," he wrote.

Jayce said the family is trying to find the strength to get through each day and rebuild their lives as best they can.

He is hoping the community will help them in any way possible.

"My mom and I need help," said Jayce.

The GoFundMe, titled 'Help Rachel, Jayce and Jaxon Godbout', can be found here.
