The Calgary Co-op will break ground on its new Cochrane store at a special ceremony at 1 p.m. today.
The Calgary Co-op will break ground on its first Calgary Co-op food store and retail complex in Cochrane at the Greystone community just north of the SLS Centre.
Ken Keelor, President & CEO of the Calgary Co-op, Brad Krizan, Board Chair, Calgary Co-op Damon Tanzola, Senior Vice President, with the Real Estate & Development and Pharmacy, of the Calgary Co-op and Mayor Jeff Genung will all be on hand for the groundbreaking ceremony.
According to the press release sent out by the Calgary Co-op, the site will be home to a 41,275 sq. ft. Food Store as well as Co-op Cannabis, Wine Spirits Beer (WSB), a Service Station, Car Wash and Convenience Store. The site will also include approximately 31,000 sq. ft. of additional commercial retail space.
The store will officially open in 2025.
