1952-2024
Gord McKee passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the age of 71 years with his loving wife and daughter by his side. Gord will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marlene; sons, Gerry (Wendy) and Phil (Joanna); daughter, Dixie (Dave) Baldock; grandchildren, Ryder, Benet, Evelyn, Avery, Bret and Delaney; his brother, David (Norma) McKee; brothers in law, Bob (Diane) and Greg (Leanne) Baily; sister in law, Valerie Bailey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews extended family and many friends. Gord was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Margaret McKee; brothers, Robert and baby McKee; and his uncle, Albert Brown.
Gord was a member of the Wild Rose Rod & Custom Club since 1986. He loved working in his shop, rebuilding cars, welding and fabricating and his trips to Tombstone, AZ, Cody, WY and Mexico with his wife.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Airdrie Town & Country Centre, 275 Jensen Drive, Airdrie on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a donation in Gord’s memory may be made to the Peter Lougheed NICU, c/o Calgary Health Foundation, 800 – 11012 Macleod Trail SE, Calgary, AB T2J 6A5 or the Salvation Army, 420 9th Ave. SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0R9.
