It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Allison (Allie) Godwin of Airdrie, AB, at the age of 33, on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Allie passed away peacefully after a long two-year fight with cancer, surrounded by an enormous amount of support and love, and with her husband by her side. Beloved wife of Erryn, she also leaves behind two beautiful daughters, Evelyn (Evie) and Madison (Maddie), her stepsons Harlyn and Deacon, sister Christina, parents Tony and Lesley Gronow, as well as her aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends. Allie proudly worked with Calgary 9-1-1 as a dispatcher, call taker, and supervisor for nearly eleven years and will be sorely missed by her many co-workers. She will be remembered for her smile that could light up a room, sharp wit, sense of humour, love for candy, and fierce dedication to those she loved.
A Memorial Service will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with a reception immediately following the service in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Godwin’s service streamed live on the day of the service at www.MHFH.com. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos may also be shared and viewed there.
